Vineyard and grapes

We can only create unique wines if the quality of the grapes is right. This is why we are in close dialogue with our contract winegrowers and partners. Our winemakers accompany them throughout the year to ensure the best possible grape quality. Particularly in the context of our premium projects, this also includes the implementation of yield-regulating and quality-promoting measures as well as the joint determination of the harvest time. This enables our team to ensure an optimal grape ripeness and create the best conditions for high-quality wines.

Cellar

For us, it is a matter of course to treat our products as gently as possible in order to keep our winemaking on the pulse of time. To this end, our cellar team has the latest cellar technology at its disposal for processing grapes, must and wine. We were the first winery in Germany to introduce controlled fermentation. By building our new cellar in Bingen in 2021 to the latest standards, we were able to further expand our cold fermentation capacities. This gives our cellar team the tools they need to produce fresh, aromatic and distinctive wines and preserve the quality of our products. State-of-the-art filtration technology allows us to clarify our wines particularly gently, in just one step. Tartrate stabilisation by electrodialysis is also possible at Reh Kendermann.

Laboratory

Every step in the winemaking process is monitored by our in-house laboratory.

This enables us to guarantee the quality and safety of our products. The analysis values determined by our laboratory help our winemakers and cellar masters every day to produce customised wines according to our customers’ requests.

We make wine from your ideas

Every wine is the result of passion, professional expertise and finesse. Our winemakers design unique products according to customer requirements. Whether it is an initial idea or a specific request: we adhere precisely to our customers’ ideas when creating wine. As an experienced partner for contract bottling, we also develop customised bottling solutions, design labels and select the best distribution options for each product thanks to a dense network of reliable trading partners worldwide.

We go innovative ways

Even good work can be further improved. Despite years of experience, we are always looking for new ways to optimise our production. To this end, we currently have four modern lines with a capacity of up to 50 million filled bottles per year at our disposal. We fill glass bottles of all sizes and shapes from 0.187 to 1.5 litres. We also offer the innovative packaging formats bag-in-box and pouches, as well as different closure methods to suit each wine. Processing the wines gently and thus ensuring quality is always the top priority in all processes. The appearance varies – the standard remains the same.
